Abstract

In this study, effect of gypsum and borax on growth and yield of maize (Zea Mays L.) was studied under field condition during kharif 2014 at college of agriculture, V.C. Farm, Mandya. the results showed that application of gypsum alone and in combination with borax did not contribute to significant increase in yield and yield parameters of maize crop, whereas borax tried individually at two levels (2.5 and 5 kg per ha) attributed to significant increase in grain yield of maize.
