An experiment conducted to know the effect of azolla supplementation on grown up silkworms at Dharwad. Four concentrations of azolla were made (25, 50, 75 and 100%) and mulberry leaves supplemented with azolla were fed to fourth instar and fifth instar silkworms once in a day. Azolla at 50 per cent concentration was well accepted by the silkworms both at fourthinstar and fifth instar. In the next experiment the effective concentration of azolla i.e. 50 per cent was supplemented to fifth instar silkworms once in a day, twice in a day and thrice in a day. Silkworms reared by supplementing azolla (50%) twice a day gave good results.
