Fourteen nutmeg ecotypes viz., Check variety (Vishwashree), Mf1, Mf2, Mf3, Mf4, Mf5, Mf6, Mf7, Mf8, Mf9, Mf10, Mf11, Mf12, Mf13 and Mf14 were studied for their physio-morphological and quality characters under the ecological conditions of Pollachi during the period from 2014 to 2015. Wide variations were observed among the germplasm in different quantitative characteristics like fruit shape, nut shape, mace colour, mace morphology. Mace and seed were analyzed toobserve thequality characters. Mf 2 recorded the highest the mace and seed oleroresin.
