Abstract

An experiment was conducted on six year old guava tree cv. Sardar at Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth Akola, in the year 2015–16. This experiment was conducted to find out suitable chemicals concentration to regulate the rainy season of guava. In which foliar application of NAA (600, 800 ppm), Maleic Hydrazide (600, 800 ppm) and Cycocel (600, 800 ppm) were sprayed in third week of May. The result showed that the chemicals reduced the yield of rainy season crop and encourages the yield of winter season crop. But it was noticed that the concentration of NAA 800 ppm showed maximum flower drop (80.40%) and fruitlet drop (73.54%) during rainy season crop. Maximum leaf area, flowering and fruit set was recorded in plants treated with NAA 800 ppm and minimum in control. The most suitable concentration of NAA 800 ppm produced maximum yield (49.92 kg/tree) during the winter season.
