Abstract

In order to study the physicochemical properties of soil in Alphonsomango orchards from Ratnagiri and Devgad and their relationship with yield, twoorchards from Ratnagiri tahasil viz. Warwade-1 and Warwade-2 and two from Devgad tahasil viz. Padel and Rameshwar were selected. The analysis of the physicochemical properties revealed that the soil samples were moderately to strongly acidic in nature having low salt concentration and higher in organic carbon. In case of yield, the highest yield was observed at Warwade-2 while, lowest at Rameshwar amongst all locations. The physico-chemical properties of soil viz. pH and OC were significantly correlated with yield.
