Odonate diversity was surveyed in Dang forest, a Western Ghats extension of Gujarat, India during 2014 and 2015. Total 55 species belonging to two suborders, 37 genera under eight families were recorded. Nineteen species of Zygoptera (damselflies) and 36 species of Anisoptera (dragonflies) were recorded. Three species namely, Potamarcha congener, Rhyothemis variegata and Tramea basilaris were previously not reported from Dang district and two species i.e. Enallagma parvum and Aethriamanta brevipennis were not reported earlier from Dang forest. Hence, now checklist of the odonate of Dang forest reaches to 58 species and South Gujarat is raised to 62 species.
