Laboratory experiment was conducted in the department of seed science and technology. The experiment consisted of accelerated aging ageing durations viz., A0: unaged, A2: 2 days, A4: 4 days, A6: 6 days, A8: 8 days, A10: 10days, A12: 12 days. The results revealed that Among the ageing periods, the maximum reduction in germination percent (87.00 to 26.25), mean seedling length (24.30 to 8.50 cm), SVI-I(2115 to 223), and SVI-II (7494 to 1801) were noticed at the end of 12 days accelerated ageing (A12) whereas good maintenance with less reduction was noticed in three days accelerated ageing (A3) and moisture content increases when prolongs the ageing period.
