Constraints and Suggestions as Expressed by Women Members and Non-Members of Milk Producer Co-operative Societies in Bidar District of Karnataka

Large majority (93.33%) of members and (91.66%) non-members perceived timely non-availability of labour member respondent are lacked in timely veterinary and health services (80.00%). In case of non-member lacked in timely veterinary and health services (91.67%), lack of technical knowledge about management practices (85.00%) member respondents are non-remunerative price for milk (88.33%), followed by high cost of concentrates (78.33%), high cost of medicine and treatment services (63.33%) in case of non-member majority perceived are inadequate finance support by bank for purchase of milch animals (96.66%) followed non-remunerative price for milk (91.66%) and high cost of concentrates (85.50%). Suggestions members expressed loan for purchase of dairy animals (85.00%) followed by vocational trainings on dairy management (80.00%). In case of non-member majority of them suggested loan for purchase of animals (88.33%) followed by better price for milk and milk product (85.00%).
