Abstract

Mustard crop occupies a unique position in Indian economy and social structure, which rank third after soybean and palmin production of vegetable oils, while second in oilseed proteins after soybean (Shekhawat, 2011). Mustard crop damaged by two main diseases Alternaria blight and white rust caused by Alternaria brassicae and Albugo candida respectively, cause both qualitative and quantitative losses in mustard crop. Therefore the efficacy of six fungicides were tested against white rust and Alternaria blight in which Ridomil MZ (0.2%) was found most effective against white rust with 0% disease severity and Iprodione and Mancozeb (0.2%) were effective against Alternaria blightwith 13.33 and18% disease severity at pod stage respectively.
