Population Dynamics of Sucking Pests and Their Natural Enemies of Bt Cotton

Population dynamics of sucking pests and their natural enemies of Bt cotton was studied by conducting field experiment at experimental farm, Department of Agricultural Entomology, VNMKV, Parbhani during the year 2014–2015 kharif season. The data on population dynamics of sucking pests in different meteorological weeks revealed that the population of sucking pests was severe from first week of September to first week of November i.e. 35^th to 44^th MW. In aphids, the peak with maximum population (40.40 aphids/3 leaves) occurred in 42^nd MW. Whereas, the first peak with maximum population of jassids (40.80 jassid/3 leaves), thrips (22.8 thrips/3 leaves) and whitefly (12.60 whitefly/3 leaves) were reported during 37^th, 38^th and 44^th MW, respectively. The data on population dynamics on natural enemies in different meteorological weeks revealed that population of natural enemies was noticed from first week of September to first week of November i.e. 35^th to44^th and the first peak of Ladybird beetle and spider were occurred during 38^th MW.
