Abstract

The efficacy of six noval insecticides viz., indoxacarb, flubendiamide, novaluron, bifenthrin, chlorantraniliprole (rynaxypyr), emamectin benzoate and three biopesticides viz., SlNPV, Btk and azadirachtin against Spodoptera litura (Fabricius) was evaluated during 2013 on bell pepper. In the field experiment, highest mean reduction of larval population was recorded in flubendiamide (96.41%), followed by emamectin benzoate (94.82%), indoxacarb (93.54%), bifenthrin (93.22%) and chlorantraniliprole (85.92%). SlNPV wasfound least effective in reducing the larval population under polyhouse.
