Abstract

A field experiment was conducted during winter (rabi) season 2008–09 at experimental farm, Department of Agronomy, Allahabad Agricultural Institute, Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, India. The experiment was carried out in Randomized Block Design (RBD) consisted 15 treatments and 3 replications. Amongst the various treatments, T13 [Popcorn maize (100% RDN) + Rajmash (100% RDN) paired row 2: 2] performed better than other treatmentsby producing seed and stover yield of popcorn, seed and straw yield of rajmash, popcorn maize equivalent yield, land equivalent ratio along with maximum gross return (Rs. 98253), net return (Rs. 70978) and benefit cost ratio (2.6).
