Adoption Level of Sunflower Production Technology by the Farmers of Rajnandgaon District of Chhattisgarh

Abstract

The adoption of any production technology depends upon the availability of required inputs and their timely supply to the adopters. The present investigation was carried out in two selected blocks of Rajnandgaon district. Sixteen villages were purposively selected and data were collected through personal interview method form 128 respondents. Collected data were analyzed by using appropriate statistical method viz, mean, percentage, correlation and regression were applied for the interpretation ofdata. The overall result of adoption reveals that among five selected practices, maximum adoption was found regarding seed rate practice. The majority of respondents were found under the medium level of adoption. As far as constraints of sunflower production are concerned, maximum respondents perceived that lack of skills like seed treatment, high rate of interest on credit and credit is not available in proper amount.
