Abstract

The study was conducted in Surguja district of Chhattisgarh state during the year 2012–2013. Opinion regarding impact of parthenium was collected from 128 respondents. Where results shows that Majority of the respondents had agreed in opinion regarding impact of Partheniumweed in cropped area, majority of the respondents (50.78%) had agreed in opinion regarding impact of Parthenium weed in non cropped area. maximum number the respondents (65.63%) could not say anything in their opinion regarding impact of Parthenium weed in Soil properties. Parthenium weed were the most serious weeds indifferent crops like Pigeon pea, Niger, Sesame.
