Abstract

The experiment was conducted under greenhouse condition in forestry research field SHIATS, Naini, Allahabad, India during year 2014–15 to investigate the effects of types of stem and branch cuttings on rhizogenesis & growth of Bambusa ventricosa in green house. The experiment was laid out in Completely Randomized Design (CRD). There were six treatments including control replicated four times in which several growth regulator control (distilled water), IBA(100, 200, 500 ppm), IAA (100, 200, 500 ppm), NAA(100, 200, 500 ppm), Intheview of present investigation the most effective growth regulator was T9 (NAA 500ppm) which gave better results with Sprout/cutting, Height (cm), Number of leaf, leaf length (cm) compared tocontrol and other treatments, so it can be recommended that NAA as a most effective growth regulator among the all treatments. As far as planting position concerned, horizontal position emerged superior in compare to vertical position.
