Abstract

In this paper study stochastic models for chickpea production and productivity has been fittedfor Madhya Pradesh. The stochastic models were taken: Linear, Quadratic, Compound, Cubic and Power. For model fitting performance, we used four comparison criteria; coefficient of determination (R2), Residual mean squares error (RMSE) and Adjusted R2. The results indicated that the cubic and quadratic are the most suitable model for forecasting all the influential factors in Madhya Pradesh.
