Abstract

Brinjal is a major vegetable crop grown in India. The present investigation carried out for isolation of fungus, morphological character of fungus and management through bio-agents. For that five native bioagents evaluated against Sclerotium rolfsii. i.e., Trichoderma harzianum, T. viride, T. fasciculatum, Pseudomonas fluorescens and Bacillus subtilis. Among them T. harzianum showed maximum growth inhibition 54.72 per cent of pathogen after 7 days of incubation and appeared to be the most superior over all other bio-agents tested followed by T. viride (50.42%), B. subtilis (44.09%), T. fasciculatum (34.55%) and P. fluorescens (30.13%).
