Abstract

Nineteen genotypes of ber have been evaluated at Instructional-cum-Research Orchard of Arid Zone Fruit Project, Department of Horticulture, Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri during the year 2012 to 2014 in ten year old trees were used for the trail to record the tree, leaf, flower morphological characters. Dwarf plants were observed in cv. Mehrun1 (1.40m). Six genotypes were having upright growth habit; four genotypes were having intermediate growthhabit while nine were having spreading habit. Overall dense foliage was observed. High branch thorniness was observed. Not much variation was observed in respect of leaf shape, leaf apex and leaf margin. The early fruit maturity was observed in genotypes Chhuhara, while it was late in Rahuri 1, 2 and 3.
