The brown spiny mouse is one of the vertebrate pests of Groundnut. The study on habitat burrow ecology of Mus platythrix(Gray) in groundnut was carried out during both during Kharif and summer of 2012–13 in groundnut crop at Thagachuguppey village, Magadi Taluk of Ramanagara District of Karnataka state, India. The study indicated that mean diameters of burrow opening of M. platythrix, was 3.25±0.08 cm and that of side tunnels was 2.33±0.18 cm. The maximum depth of the burrow was 38.6 cm and total length was 145cm for M. platythrix species.
