The article presents an overview of impact of factory waste on soil nutrient quality. 15 soil samples were collected from mango orchard at Lote MIDC area tahsil Khed, District Ratnagiri, Maharashtra during pre and post-monsoon season. The quality analysis has been made through heavy metals concentration a mean value of Fe, Zn, Cu, Mn, Ni, Cr, Co and Pb are 80.70, 0.60, 4.94, 53.11, 0.96, 0.69, 0.56 and 1.73 mgkg−1in pre-monsoon season, respectively. The heavy metals concentration a mean value of Fe, Zn, Cu, Mn, Ni, Cr, Co and Pb are 77.52, 2.76, 6.19, 53.17, 0.69, 0.83, 1.10 and 1.61 mgkg−1 in post-monsoon season, respectively. The study conclude that the continuous application of effluent appear to deteriorate the soil quality in this areas. For going analysis, concentrations of heavy metals are found below the maximum permissible limit in soil.
