Abstract

A field experiment was conducted during kharif, 2014 at Agronomy Instructional Farm, C.P. College of Agriculture, Sardarkrushinagar Dantiwada Agricultural University, Sardarkrushinagar, Gujarat. To study the “Effect of FYM, phosphorus and PSB on growth, yield andquality of cowpea (Vigna unguiculata (L.)Walp) on loamy sand”. Fourteen treatment combinations comprising of two FYM levels viz., 0 t/ha FYM (F0) and10 t/ha FYM (F1) and seven treatments of phosphorus viz., P1 (Only PSB), P2 (20 kgP2O5/ha), P3 (20 kg P2O5/ha+ PSB), P4 (30 kgP2O5/ha), P5 (30 kg P2O5/ha+ PSB), P6 (40 kg P2O5/ha) and P7 (40 kg P2O5/ha+ PSB) were evaluated in factorial randomized block design replicating three times. Significantly higher values of growth parameters, yield and yield attributes and quality parameter were recorded with 10 t/ha FYM application compare noFYM application. Significantly higher values of growth parameters, yield and yield attributes and quality parameter were recorded with 40 kg P2O5/ha + PSB application compare to only PSB.
