Constraints Perceived and Suggestions Offered by the Farmers in Cultivation of Various Crops Under Acidic Soil Condition

The present study was conducted to find out constraints perceived and suggestion offered in cultivation of various crops under acidic soil condition by the farmers of Northern hills Agro-climatic zone of Chhattisgarh. The constraints which were most perceived by the farmers were high cost of hybrid seed, imbalance dose of fertilizers and lack of money to invest on additional operation for better utilization of acidic soil. Farmers offered suggestions for cultivation of various crops under acidic soil condition were Support price of crops should be increased; hybrid and improved seeds of various crops should be available at low price and release of canal water at proper time.
