(Religious Polarity of Bhuinya Tribals in Globalization: Balishankara Block (Orissa State)-with Special Reference to India)

Abstract

This study has been done in Sundargarh district of Orrisa state on changes in religious polarity. At present, the people of Bhuiya tribe have information about their traditional religion, but in the Globalization era after coming into contact, the people of Bhuiya Samaj have started to follow Hindu rituals and festival primarily. There is such a belief in the people that by doing Devmool and Karma puja the society will not face any problem, resulting in worshiping Devmool and Karma as a huge celebration. Present study is based on interviews, observations and photography from the people of Bhuiya tribe, which was done during the survey of region, on the basis of that many religious changes, can be seen due to the influence of globalization era in this tribe.
