This paper is based upon socio-economic indicators and Millenium development goals in Nigeria. Most of the third world countries including few developing nations are facing economic hardships and the condition of socio-economic indicators are not supporting the acceleration of the development index. Nigeria is also not an exception to these poor and deteriorating conditions. Poor social-infrastructural services are adding fuel to fire. The theme of the paper attempts to analyse the relation between socio-economic indicators and human development index of Nigeria.
