Faculty area of Forestry Extension and Communication Methods at Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal - 462003.
This paper is an out come of final project report the sponsored by the Indian Institute of forest Management, Bhopal. Jhabua district of Madhya Pradesh was selected as a universe of the study area. The present study was based on an intensive survey of 12 JFM villages (1. Kotnai, Chauvaria and Amargarh from Thandla Range: 2. Pipliya, Jher and Dev Jhiri from Jhabua range: 3 Golamba, Bhuri amba and Mordha from Katthiwada range and 4. Bahedwah, Darja and Aambi from Alirajpur Range), selected from four forest ranges of Jhabua district. From each selected JFM villages, 10 house holds were selected randomly for intensive study. This paper is based on the group discussion organised in 12 villages during intensive survey done the team members in the study area of Jhabua district of Madhya Pradesh during 2002 and 2003.
