Abstract

The Present paper is inclined to deal with the population structure of the two Garhwali villages namely Jamak and Baghiyal situated at the Uttarkashi district Uttarakhand. The study is based on the survey of the entire village population conducted during April-June 2006. The data reveals slightly diverse pattern of the age and sex composition, socia-economy and the status of flora and fauna. It has been observed that the structure of two different settlements vary in terms of population compositions. Socio economic features are also highlighted in view of the population dinamics.
