Abstract

Gender inequality is a historical and universal phenomenon. The degree of inequality might be differ from one society or group to another but in form to another, it is manifest in all human societies, more especially in Patriarchal society. if we want to uplift the position of women we have to give empowerment to them.Gender empowerment is a conceived process by which women can over come many of the hurdles that they face such as:- Education, Work status, Empowerment opportunities, Health care, Social security and most importent thing is Position in family.

Present parer aims to analizse the problems and hurdles face by Indian Village Women. This paper is based on the study of Ladhura gram Panchyat, Block Suratganj, District Barabanki, UP. Data was collected on the basis of Interview Guide, Questionaire and Focused group discussion. This study rvails the situation of women in village of UP.
