*It is to be noted here that this observation had been presented at a national seminar held at the Bastar University, Chhattisgarh-949005
This anthropological observation has tried to concentrate on those people who believe in the state health system, but have strong faith on the traditional methods of treatment. Traditional knowledge and beliefs are given first priority just like depending on the forest for their livelihood. India has been independent for over 60 years now. We are progressing with science and development, and are looking towards more and more achievements; health facilities and project workers have literally reached every door. Better rapport has brought about some involvements, except for faith. The Lodhas, although have been living with other communities for more than a 100 years close to the forest village of Jungle Mahal, (they are living in a proximal distance to block head quarter still have no change or modification on their faith and treatment planning) have nevertheless been maintaining a proximal distance to block head quarter still have no change or modification on their faith and treatment. Health workers are doing their level best; however, the achievement rate is least satisfactory.
