Today it is not possible to imagine a life without media gadgets of different types. A long list comprising of mobile phone, DVD players, television, CD player, DTH TV, computers, internet etc are in practices for exchange of knowledge, information, science, etc. Today the information technology and communication technology is uplifted to the new concept of ‘convergence media’ were a single gadget can simultaneously perform the function of various mediums. Thus this paper attempts to access the impact of these technologies on rural and urban users.
