The paper deals with the aspects of human behaviour related with the work culture of the employees working in the power sector of Uttar Pradesh, a state situated in Northern India. It elaborates the human needs with respect to the social institutions like family, schools and psychological factors, emotions and the mind sets emerged in the habitat. It infers that the work potentials can be enhanced by rewards and inspirations so that negative attitudes can be minimized.
