Demographic situation of a population vize Age-sex composition and fertility depends on the economic, social and occupational status of the member of a population. In the present investigation primary data on age-sex composition, family type, economic organization and educational facts of a tribal population viz Bhunjia of Chhattisgarh state has been analysed and presented. 194 families were selected for data collection through census survey method for the present investigation. The study revealed that 95% families were of nuclear type, 19.58% had 5 members in their family, 16.04% belonged to 15–19 year age group and the sex ratio was observed to be 1021 per 1000 males. The literacy rate of Bhunjia was observed to be 63%.
