The recognition of entrepreneurial opportunities in Tehran urban management section: the case of Tehran municipality cultural and social deputy office

Opportunity is a significant aspect of entrepreneurship. Recognizing opportunity is also a significant field in entrepreneurship studies. According to the studies conducted concerning recognizing entrepreneurial opportunities in the field of urban management, in this research we aim to assess this matter. Managers, experts, entrepreneurs in Tehran urban management section formed statistical society of this research of which sampling was made by use of stratified random sampling method. The questionnaires were distributed. Structural equation modeling was used for analyzing data in order to perform confirmatory factor analysis, second grade. The results of analyzing questionnaires indicated that there are entrepreneurial opportunities in nine fields including citizenship training, research and study, culture, health, sport, welfare and social participations, handicrafts, home and micro jobs, ladies, urban planning and development in cultural and social affairs deputy in Tehran Urban Management section. Such opportunities were recognized and the lists thereto were presented after analyzing the questionnaires.
