Work-related mental pressure affects individuals’ health, personal and familial lives. Unfortunately, as science progresses, the rapid changes in organizations and also economical crises are added to the problems that are caused by stress. Therefore, individuals with a sense of self-control make more effort when facing issues and problems and are calmer throughout performing tasks. The present study has been conducted to study the relationship between the self-control and job stress of an industrial company employees. This study is a descriptive study, which has been conducted through the correlation method, and as far as purpose, it is applied, and for data collection a survey method was used. Then, SPSS and Lisrel softwares were used for data analysis. The resulting findings of the data analysis showed that the main hypothesis and the first sub-hypothesis of this study were confirmed and the study's second sub-hypothesis and third and fourth hypotheses were rejected.
Self-control, mastery and vicarious experiences, social encouragement (verbal persuasion), psychological and physiological reactions, job stress
