This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of teaching joyfulness components on the negative and positive affect of staff working at Tehran's university of Medical Sciences in 2013. this is a semi-experimental study (with the design of pre-test, post-test with control group). The statistical society of this study consisted of all the staff who referred to the women's consultation center at Tehran's university of Medical Sciences during the first 6 months of 2013. The sample consisted of 30 persons of the staff who were chosen as available sampling, assigned randomly to 2 experimental (n=15) and control (n=15) groups. To gather the data we used Watson's positive and negative affect scale. Data was analyzed by co-variance analytical method and spss software program. The results indicated that teaching joyfulness components has effect on the negative and positive affects of the staff who work at Tehran's university of Medical Sciences.
