Abstract

Spirituality causes enhancement of commitment by creating a trust-based climate. The commitment includes employees’ commitment to the organization and also organization's commitment to employees and customers. In organizations that enjoy of high level of spirituality in comparison with those who don't enjoy of these values, employees have positive attitudes, support of organization and more commitment.

In this research, it is attempted to investigate the relationship between workplace spirituality, organizational commitment and organization citizenship behavior among employees of 9th district of Tehran municipality. In order to examine research hypotheses and acquire results, Lisrel software and structural equations model have been used.

The obtained results of this research showed that workplace spirituality influences positively on organizational commitment and organization citizenship behavior of employees. Furthermore, organizational commitment influences positively on organization citizenship behavior of employees.
