In this paper, using revenues and municipal charges of 8 metropolises during a 4 year period (2007 to 2010), the relationship between citizens’ income gap with revenues and charges of metropolises has been generally examined using multivariate regression models based on cross-sectional and combinational data. The results suggest a positive effect of these factors (municipal revenue and expense) with income gap.
