Abstract

The necessity of recognizing and best exploration of underground sources of water results from this matter that these resources have placed in dry and half dry region and to incur to lack of water. on the other side over extend take of water from underground sources in recent years has been lead to decreasing level of this water and to endanger of their stability. Wheat is the main agriculture product of township of Jiroft that about 37670 hectare of agriculture lands to be allocated to it. In this research with the aim of defining the water economic value, analyzing the product function has been applied among the farmers of wheat in Jiroft township. Required information have been collected from 60 farmers in agricultural year of (1999–2000), by noting the criteria and economic measuring, Cub Douglass product function has been recognized as the best one obtained result of given analysis the economical value of each square meter of water in producing the wheat is equivalent with 215.15 Rials which this amount of current value of water is much more in the region. In fact the received price is lower than final production cost, So the lower prices of water is one important reason of over extend exploration of underground water sources and shortage of yearly level of them.
