The objective of integrating risk management and value engineering is to maximize value, reduce intensity and probability of risky events, and maximize return on assets. Also it empowers the project team to provide the stage for project success with regard to the specific features of any project (goal, people, communications, real and achievable budget, specific achievements, applicable plan, efficient delivery). By risk management research group, value engineering may use risk as one of the main criteria for evaluating its proposed options. Also since the output of value engineering studies is used as the input for risk management, applying these two methods separately will increase time of project studies. By studying EPC projects, one can see that these two processes (value and risk management) have not either been used in the projects or have been used separately that have not created the required effectiveness. This paper presents an integrated approach by which project management process can be evaluated and controlled at any specific stage. This paper has specifically studied the internal risk structure of EPC projects.
