Abstract

This paper examines quality of service offered and customer perception of the service offered by Indian Banking sector. Data were collected from the customers of Private as well major Public sector Banks of India. For this two tier city of the Uttar Pradesh has been considered for the study. Customer has been selected on the basis of socio-demographic variables and tangible and intangible aspects of service quality have been considered. Empirical analysis revels that Public sector Bank still offering better services and more responsive than Private sector Banks of India.
