After the globalisation of world economy, organizations are giving more attention to satisfy their employees which lead to produce more successful outcomes than never before. In this sense, the research work has been carried out in Eveready Industries Limited (EIL) where the main objective is to investigate the employee satisfaction depending on the factors of employees’ demographic factors, salary and other fringe benefits so that managers of human resource department of big organisations can learn how to satisfy their employees. In this study, the employee satisfaction has been identified as dependent variable whereas demographic factors, salary factors and fringe benefits as independent variables. A set of well structured questionnaires have been developed and data has been collected by interviewing the employees at the production plant of EIL in Kolkata. The result establishes that employees are generally satisfied in their job when they are getting reasonable salary as compared to other co-workers of similar industries. In general, the employees are satisfied if they will get proper retirement benefits as well as they can avail loan facilities form the company.
