Abstract

This paper accomplishes the task of examining the inter-company differentials in input-oriented efficiency across 40 Software companies operating in India during the financial year 2008. The technique of Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) has been used to compute the efficiency scores for individual companies. The empirical findings reveal the slack variables of various input and output variables and makes projections needed for improvement.
