This paper studies the adequacy of employees in of Sevana Hospital and Research Centre, a major health care institution in Kerala. The hospital is facing dissatisfaction from the patients due to the large waiting time in the process. At the same time, the employees are stressed due to the workload they face. A primary survey was done to identify the responses from the patients and employees on the waiting times in the system. Erlangs’ Queuing Theory was used to identify the actual and expected waiting times. The Chi-Square test revealed that there is significant difference between them. Based on the findings, some suggestions are proposed for improving the process.
