A study of the functional evaluation of the sarvodaya sanghs in the thanjavur district

The mission of Sarvodaya is “Truth and Non –Violence” Sarvodaya works for “welfare to all”, without any discrimination. It not only provides job opportunities to the rural and needy, but also encourages the development of various department in order to increase the national income. Its main purpose is equitable distribution of goods at reasonable profits. It fulfills about 35% of consumers in Tamilnadu. This study focuses the functional evaluation of sarvodaya sanghs in composite district of Thanjavur, Tamilnadu, with reference to production, marketing, finance and personnel management. This study helps us to understand how it improves economic conditions of its members.
