This paper presents mutual fund investors awareness and adoption of AMCs with family and personal factors. Some personal and family factors are pulling them in deciding different type of investments. Age, Gender and marital status are some of the socio demographic factors that share the investors’ decision and preference in making investments. 350 respondents have been selected for this study, for three districts and ten AMCs in the Andhra Pradesh. The chi-square test has adopted to examine the association between the family and personal factors with the awareness and adoption of the AMCs.
