Abstract

The great potentialities of various nutrients for maximizing vegetative growth, yield and quality have been emphasized. Fertilizer play pivotal role in crop production. Judicious and precise application of fertilizer inputs is necessary in the context of energy crisis for producing fertilizer resources. Application of nutrients is directly linked to the yield and sustainable productivity of crop. The deficiency of major and micronutrients in soil is most important factor responsible for higher productivity of onion in the country. Therefore work done on the nutrient application to onion is reviewed in this paper.
