Over the past two decades farmers were more dependent on chemical fertilizer to get maximum yield. Due to this practice the importance of using organic sources of nutrients such as organic manure, green manure, crop wastes declined among farmers. The use of organics not only supply sufficient nutrients but also they improve soil physical and chemical properties. So, the continuous addition to organic wastes with or without mineral fertilizer will help to maintain the soil organic matter at a reasonable level. In modern times, a wide variety of organic wastes are available which can be composted for use in crop production. Hence, this paper focuses on different organic sources of nutrients for improving yield of crops under rainfed condition.
