Abstract

Fertilizer requirement can be reduced 15–25 per cent with fertigation through drip. The movement of nutrients depends on the discharge rate as high discharge rate lead to leaching of nutrients below the root zone. Application of high dose of fertilizers not only cause economic loss but also it leads to chemical changes in soil and reduces the yield. Among the N forms NH4 form is less mobile in soil. Movement of micronutrient is mainly associated with changes in soil pH so an effort was made to review nutrient movement in fertigation through drip.
