Twenty five species of insect and mite pest were recorded on sesamum at Gwalior, which includes 11 hemipterous, 7 lepidopterous, 2 each of ortnopterous, coleopterous and depterous and 1 acarina pest. Out of these pests 12 insect species were observed as regular and other 13 were sporadic pest.
