Abstract

Application of 80 kg/ha nitrogen significantly increased the plant height at 60 DAS and at 80 DAS, leaves per plant, stem thickness, green and dry fodder yield g/plant, green and dry fodder yield, gross realization, net realization and B:C ratio over their lower doses. Significantly higher plant height at 60 and 80 DAS, leaves/plant at 60 and 80 DAS, stem thickness, yield of green and dry fodder g/plant and q/ha, net return and B:C ratio was reported by variety SU-1 which was higher over Rajasthan chari-1 and Rahasthan chari-2. Variety SU-1 recorded the highest green fodder (317.28 q/ha), dry fodder (110.39 q/ha) yield and new realization (Rs. 9191/ha) which was 3.02 and 9.43,10.50 and 11.79 and 4.21 and 13.50 per cent higher over Rajasthan chari-1 and Rajasthan chari-2.
