Significantly higher plant height, days to 50% flowering, yield attributing characters and higher fodder yield was recorded in CSV 15 (a standard check) than SPV 1022, SPV 1028, and SPV 1333. Whereas variety SPV 1333 was found superior to CSV 15 in terms of grain yield (30.28 q/ha), gross (Rs. 28892/ha) and net return (Rs. 24472/ha). Among different test hybrids, SPH 960 produced superior plant height, days to 50% flowering 1000-grain weight, yields and gross and net returns in terms of Rs./ha over its checks viz., CSH 14 and CSH 9. Application of fertility level 80:40 Nand P2O5 kg/ha significantly increased the growth characters, yields attributes and grain and fodder yields and net returns over its lower dose (40:20:N+P2O5 kg/hal.
